Rural Development Investment Holdings Plc (RUDEVIT) is a Malawian non-listed public limited liability company by Malawians and for all Malawians, a green field investment with the aim of mobilizing resources to commercially invest in various sectors of the economy. One of the identified investments in production of granulated organic fertilizer. The company has already procured machinery awaiting installation on its factory site in Blantyre. The company continues to raise capital through public offering and already has an extensive number of shareholders. We are seeking to fill a new vacant position of Finance & Administration Manager for the fertilizer company.. The position is initially based in Blantyre.
We are looking for a results-driven and confident Finance & Administration Manager to manage and improve our organization’s financial performance and direct our accounting operations. Duties for the financial controller will include managing accounting records, evaluating and managing risk, ensuring compliance with regulations, publishing financial statements, overseeing accounting operations, analyzing financial data, monitoring expenditure, forecasting revenue, coordinating auditing processes, and ensuring accuracy of financial information.
Your strategic planning and exceptional numerical proficiency as head of financer will aid our organization in maintaining positive revenue and financial growth, formulating sound financial strategies, implementing proper internal controls, achieving organizational targets, and developing financial plans that support organizational strategy.
The ideal candidates
The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, exceptional problem-solving skills, a flair for numbers, be highly organized, and have excellent leadership skills. The noteworthy financial and administration manager should provide financial analysis and reports, train staff on business finance issues, promote regulatory compliance, and drive returns to shareholders
Finance & Administration Manager Responsibilities:
- Preparing financial monthly management accounts.
- Analyzing financial data.
- Monitoring internal controls.
- Overseeing and preparing income statements.
- Participating in budgeting processes.
- Managing financial transactions.
- Overseeing administration functions including human resource and fixed assets and inventory • Developing plans for financial growth.
- Evaluating and managing risk.
- Coordinating audit processes and preparation of audited financial statements
Finance & Administration Manager Requirements • Master’s degree in accounting or equivalent.
- Must be a Chartered Accountant in good standing with Institute of Chartered Accountants in Malawi (ICAM)
- Proven experience in finance management.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong leadership qualities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and strong demonstrable negotiation skills
- Auditing experience.
- Compliance oriented.
- Proficiency in accounting software.
- Excellent analytical skills

We are looking for a borehole drilling contractor to drill and construct a solar powered borehole at the Organic Fertilizer Production Factory under construction at our RUDEVIT premises in Chileka, Blantyre.
Ideally the contractor should be registered with NCIC in the borehole drilling category and should demonstrate experience in the field.

One of the identified investment sector is Manufacturing of granulated organic fertilizer. In Malawi, most smallholder farmers have limited access to chemical fertilizer and their usage is very low. However, over the years, through Government interventions under FISP/AIP programs, fertilizer use has increased from less than 10 kg/ha in 2005 to 55.8kg/ha in the years up to 2016. During the period from 2016 to-date, the country has been experiencing increases year on year in the cost of imported fertilizers owing to the international price increases and other market pressures. This has had the effect of reduced uptake by both smallholder and commercial farmers thereby significantly increasing cost of farming and reduced agricultural productivity. The RUDEVIT Granulated Organic fertilizer is a product from recycled industrial, household waste, compost, cow dung, river sediments among other ingredients that are factory processed to produce affordable granulated organic fertilizer that can be used in various crops through integrated application or as a standalone application. The RUDVIT Fertiliser Company aims to fill the gaps in the fertilizer industry by ensuring that both smallholder and commercial farmers have access to affordable fertilizer produced in Malawi.
|The Position and key responsibilities
|The project manager will be expected to be a hands-on person with traceable successful experience managing projects with bias to start-ups. The person will play the lead role in planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing out the granulated organic fertilizer factory project getting it ready for commissioning. The person will develop appropriate health, safety and security systems for

|the operational efficiency of the project. The person will be expected to work hand in hand with designers, contractors, regulatory inspectors, licensing and quality control authorities, suppliers and other stakeholders in the development of the factory and infrastructure. The person must demonstrate leadership qualities and capable to motivate teams to achieving desired results. The person will be accountable for the entire project scope, the project team and resources, the project budget, and the successes. Depending on successful implementation of the project, the project manager will be expected to take leadership of the company upon commissioning.

|Bachelor Degree in Engineering, with a qualification in project management as an added advantage.
